Why is it that the people who seem to have the strongest view of God's active presence in the world also seem to feel they are the one's who need to defend God's honor with violence and vitriol? Doesn't seem to matter if these people reside here or there, it's always the same, they've got to enforce God's will. If God is really like they imagine, why doesn't God take care of his/her own business?
