We had a very pleasant weekend. On Saturday, we went to Kenny's party for getting his black sash in Hwa Rang Do. (Heh...I almost wrote "Doh"...channeling Homer again.) Anyway, it was really cool seeing everyone again. It seems like ages and ages. Kenny and Jenn's apartment is really nice and I really like their neighborhood. Kenny says he was pretty drunk, but I didn't really notice a difference, except that he seemed a bit happier and friendlier, if that's possible. I can tell he wanted to socialize with everyone, and lamented that he couldn't. It really was a pleasure seeing him again and I wish I could have "played" with him more. I enjoyed listening to all the conversations around me: Kyle speaking German to Kenny's mom, Kenny's bro Tom showing video of the Rocky Horror picture show he had attended, and Kenny telling us about his test. It was nice seeing Kenny's family and everyone seemed happy and in the moment. Isabella was a hit, even though she had a meltdown later. Poor baby, I knew I was pushing it with her since we had to go to Ikea to get hardware that was missing from our table, then driving over to Kenny's, then her being overstimulated by all the people so close to her bedtime. She really held out longer than I thought. She's such a good baby. She's pretty aware now of coming and going, so once we left the apartment and reached the elevator she stopped crying and was smiling again. She sure knows how to work us now, that little smarty. Yes, I wish I could have stayed longer and could talk to more people like Flor and Kyle and Kenny's Google friends, Jenn and Shelley and Ken.

I don't see people a whole lot since we live farther from everyone now. We don't get as many invites because...well, I have my suspicions. (BTW to my readers, this is not directed to anyone in particular.) Since I'm hermit-like by nature, when I finally get to see people, it's like "AAAAAHHHH!!!" I feel overstimulated like Isabella, but no meltdowns here. Just happiness.
