I'll start off with a warning that, knowing this crowd, I'm certain will not be heeded: I canNOT talk about Jan. 2. I won't. It came. It went. It was a regular day, without fanfare or team loses. So get yer ya-yas out and move on to the NYE recap below. Thank you, come again.

SCENE: Friday night, Lincoln Park, Field House. Mini-Medill reunion. Good to catch up with (in order of longest time gone by) Leslie, Stonito, Dickie, Smash, Amy, TK Class Rep and KM (who doesn't really count since I live on her couch most weekends). Everyone doing well. Nostalgia in form of $5 pitchers.

SCENE: New Year's Eve, Lincoln Park, house party. Girls. Lots of them. Seriously, most skewed ratio I've seen at one of these parties. Some (er, one) of them drunk enough to wander in from the alley and start, a-hem, chatting up certain Medill boy(s). (Which reminds me, I still owe KM $1 from our bet. Damn.) Those parties always a good time, even if it's just me and the DWG crew having a dance party in the middle of the dining room.

12:02- Damn. We missed midnight.
12:03- Happy New Year!
12:04- More dance party.

SCENE: New Year's Day. Slept in. Said goodbye to Stonito. Said goodbye to Dickie. Said goodbye to KM to sleep at the Chicago bureau of the Den of Weekend Greatness. Saw "Memoirs of a Geisha." Kinda sucked. Just read the book.

SCENE: Jan. 2. This day never happened.

** Final thought: I've never liked the idea of resolutions, therefore I've resolved not to make any this year. Er, wait, that's kind of a resolution itself, isn't it? Ah, hell. Well, whatever, "Christine 06" will concentrate on completing the un-done tasks of "Christine 05," whose main theme was to try new things. New restaurants, new bars, new friendships, etc. C05 was semi-successful, but ya know, those old stomping grounds always made their appearances maybe more than I'd like. New friendships were welcomed with open arms and thrive to this day, so at least one third of C05 was a success. Good job. **
