well, i'm still here... been here two weeks and still don't have an address. i'm not living out of a shopping cart, and the knight has been taking very good care of us, but i sincerely want a place to call our own. i know it's coming, but the work hours severely curtail looking hours...

*sigh*

it feels like i'm re-living my late teens and early twenties when all i did was live life by the seat of my pants. it's frightening, but liberating as well. i find i'm glad that i still have a flexibility that for some people tends to solidify once they pass a certain age. it's nice to discover that i do have some youth left over in the dusty corners.

****

you may have noticed i took off stats, word counts and places i've been published. i have five notebooks filled with notes and a big envelope stuffed with various and sundry newspaper articles. until i get settled the whole writing thing has been on hold. sometimes, life just gives you a big smack up. i know i'll get back to it, but i miss it like crazy.

we went to the zoo yesterday. (hotter than hell and i got a sunburned nose.) it was awesome! i could have spent all day in the penguin house...omg, are they cute or what? did you know penguins only mate once a lifetime and are monogamas? (i don't think that's spelled right, but too bad.) they are really birds and they swim like fish.

we also visited the monkeys, *phew* what a smell. but they too were really cute, fascinating to watch. i can see us spending a lot of time there, they even have volunteer jobs open as well as regular jobs. how cool would that be?

my directional sense stinks worse than the monkey house...i have no idea how i got there, but i did find my way back with no problem. my directional sense has hampered home-hunting too, because i don't know where the hell i am half the time or how i got there. it makes the knight very nervous, he worries too much. poor guy, i didn't tell him about yesterday ("did you get there alright?" "yes, honey, we got there." and donna's rolling her eyes.) i'll get used to it, it will just take me a little bit. the less he knows the better for him.

****

that's it. just some snippets, nothing in the news really caught me today. they are having tons of harry potter parties in the bookstores tomorrow night, rock on i say. i wish someone would send a copy to the pope. maybe if he actually read it, it would help remove the self-righteous stick from up his ass.

c'mon, you knew the day wouldn't be complete until i fanned the fires of hell.

:)
