2005-07-17 3:11 PM always waiting for the other shoe the demongirlchild and i went to look at a couple of houses today while the knight errant was busy with some other business.
"Go ahead and go look at it, and if you like it, tell her we'll take it and we'll make arrangements tomorrow", he says to me. "Wait a minute, don't you want to see it first?" "I trust you. If you like it, that's all that matters." total mind blow, that. i mean, really. i'm in shock. the first one we looked at, the DGC and i, was too small and i didn't like the area. so, we drove another ten or fifteen minutes, and found the other house in a small, rural town. (they did have a mcdonald's there, so the DGC was happy.)turned down a quiet street, and into the driveway of a sweet looking house. it's white with a brown roof, one story, nice yard and patio. three bedrooms, one bath, small kitchen with a dining area and a small living room. we both liked it, so i told the owner i would call her tomorrow. she was very pleasant and chatty, told me all about the area. there are quilters around (OMG YAY) and it's small town life at it's best. i hope the knight likes it, but when i called him he asked me if i liked it and i said yes. he knew right away from my tone something wasn't sitting well (how does he DO that??) and asked me what was the drawback. "Well, I don't know if you'll like it." "Honey, if you're there that's all I need." yes, okay, i bawled a little. poor guy, i'm sure sometimes he wonders what the fuck. anyway, i think we're gonna take it. **** i know the majority of you won't understand the point of the above, but there is one, believe me. **** i'm happy, but i'm so scared. please god, this once, don't let the shoe drop.
