cusps, options and brain rest

the work day was interesting, as usual. the big group we thought was coming in cancelled; another birthday party snuck in; again someone dug in and was hell getting out. she said she was coming down to pay for another day; five minutes later a cab pulled up and out the door she flew. i went up to check the room and it was disgusting.

i bet her mama would be so proud.

NOT.

the boss and i spoke of the hotel that is up for a new GM. i can tell she really, really wants me to take it. it's bigger than this one by twenty rooms, three more meeting rooms and a bigger breakfast room. that means the stress level increases. do i want this? is the money worth it? it's expected to lose money at least the first two years; that relieves a little of the stress. i'm still on the fence.

i finally talked the knight into seeing a lawyer about his knee. he's been dicking around with WC since last year, and i for one am sick of the run around. that's on the docket for next week, as well as a whole list of other things. the girlchild is gearing up for some changes too. this reminds me of the period of time just before the youngest graduated...and i made an entry called CULMINATIONS. i have the same feelings now. so many things are trembling on the cusp...

now that the work day is done, i'm taking a hot shower, putting on my pj's and watching a little of the Barrett Jackson classic car auction. i will shuffle my papers around a bit, try to be patient and maybe knit or at least finish fringing my poor mother's shawl that took me an eternity to finish. tomorrow is payday, so that's a good thing. i'm not going to think of anything. i'm not going to think about the story at Aoife's Kiss that is due for a response on monday. i might take two tylenol PM and sleep until i feel like getting up.

that's the game plan, anyway.

:)
