ick.

i'm trying to catch a cold, and it's pissing me off. i went to bed at 8:30 last night and slept until 9 this morning. i've taken two doses of Airborne (ewww! it looks like bullpiss and tastes what i imagine bullpiss to taste like) and i plan on going back to bed.

*sigh*

i have a story in the last issue of Heavy Glow, and that makes me muy happy. i need to kickstart not only the writing again, but the submission thing. i've sent two queries on The Blood and have heard nothing -- all by regular mail. it's been at DoD since september -- i'm about ready to pull the plug, although DoD seemed like the perfect place for it. other than that, the only piece that's out is Night In The Day and it's not ripe yet.

i'm also looking for a place for To The Promised Land. the one place i had in mind doesn't open for submissions until March, and i don't know if i want to wait that long. Magan's Story has come to another standstill (i have to write about a labor and delivery.) since the first part was written in a diary format, i'm thinking of telling this part from a thrid person POV, and that's where i became bogged down.

i've also got Carolyn still stuck in a parking lot with a demon. there's so many inconstancies with that story, i'm afraid i'll have to junk most of it and start from scratch.

and then there's the heart's blood -- Broken Arrows. this one is really calling to me, and i'd like to get the first draft done. sometimes i think i worry too much about word count -- the thing to do, i'm thinking, is to just write it until it's done, and then figure it out from there.

right now, the bed is singing to me and it's getting rather loud. sparky is drooling and snoring -- why should she have all the fun?
