i had a shock today. unexpected, in a way, but yet not. (which makes no sense to you, i realize this. carry on.) it remains to be seen what ripple effect this particular pebble will have, but it was intense enough to make me leave work early (like that was difficult) and take the entire rest of the day off. i thought i was going to have to go out of town, but things seem to have calmed down a bit, and after some rather rigorous mental calisthenics, i guess i can stay put.
