2008-03-03 5:48 PM a monday that didn't suck! can you believe it? me either. **** first of all, the big thing i was waiting and working on finally came through, slick as shit through a goose, despite myself, and probably because of all the good vibes i've ganked from y'all. thank you for that. i now own a car. my very own. ALL MINE. i have been essentially vehicle-less for almost five years. thanks to my knight and Gem. they were the Push-Me-Pull-You from Dr. Doolittle in this endeavor, and although i'm as flat broke as a person can get, it doesn't matter because I HAVE WHEELS. it's a '97 buick riviera, with 75k miles, a pretty sage green with forest green interior. one owner. a little old lady. very sweet deal, which leaves the title in my name and enough change for a gallon of gas. i also need to thank B for teaching me how to ask the Universe for what i need. it worked! **** now, i can plan my next road trip, which will be in about a month. i hope. (i also have the next five road trips planned, heh.) now i can look for another job, and now, if i'm yanked from here, i have options. maybe things are turning around. **** and, the post office was very good to me today, delivering an unexpected Love Box with HAMSTER REPELLENT. omg! i had so much fun opening this box, and i laughed and cried myself silly. although i have sent out a LB or two, i didn't realize how much...well, let's just say i felt very special, very loved, and hugged from afar. thank you, thank you. **** now, if only the Digestive System would cooperate. this is the deal: *if* i get hungry (which i really don't, anymore) and i fix something to eat (which is something else i don't really do) most of the time i'll take two or three bites and that's as much as i can do. i'll feel nauseous or just plain icky, and i can't finish. if i do manage to get something down, it will either vacate the premises immediately, or it will sit, like a rock. also causing ickiness. if it happens to process the other way, it's a high-speed train with no brakes. (get it? i'm sure you do.) there might be some pain involved (due to high-speed friction, i'm assuming.) i know this is probably way more info than you wanted, but sharing is caring. stress? or something else? does it matter? lord knows i have the weight to lose (and that triggers off a whole host of issues i can't even begin to address) but at this point i'm starting to get a little nervous. the knight, bless his heart, insists on trying to tempt the appetite but if i can't do it i can't, and he suggested i might want to try to think about considering talking to a doctor. thing is, i know what would happen already. tests and pills, and even after testing and pillaging, there could be no definitive, fixable answer. and i know what kind of testing there would be. there would be the Poking of Strange Implements into Secret and Sacred Places, some of them marked "EXIT ONLY" and much muttering and picture-taking. there would be Ingestion of Noxious Elements (similar to the Milk of the Devil) and more muttering and picture taking. there could be the Waving of Chicken Feet, then there would be the prescribed Magic Formula in the form of Small Pills with Large Side-Effects that could be worse than the Problem. worse yet, they could wrap me in a Pharmaceutical Cocoon and i could hatch as a Pod Person With No Personality. *sigh* **** and THEN.... heh. i talked to the Withered One today, and she sounds great. she goes back to the doctor on wednesday to see what the game plan is. they might start chemo up again right away -- we'll see. a lot depends on what comes back on her tests. *hugs* momma. love you and miss you. yo be ai'ight. **** and more good news for a special friend of mine going through a rough time of it. things fell into place for her, and that's a VERY GOOD THING. hopefully the rest will go smoothly and we can all look back at this and how she scared us and beat the shit out of her. then gigglesnort our asses off. that's the plan. hear me, shen? beatings first, then gigglesnorts. ;) **** so yeah, a monday that didn't suck. who knew?? :) Check out TSB for the most legal fun you can have with your clothes on.
