2008-03-20 7:14 AM waiting for the sun but it hasn't made its appearance yet. then, i'm off and running.
**** Gem is doing great at her new job. we trade emails every night, and i keep her updated with the newest. i know i shouldn't be giggling, but i can't help it. monday, the Dancer was exhorted to take Gem's old cell phone and be "on call" until the new GM takes the reins. for this, she was to be compensated a $200 bonus. well, the Dancer is no pushover. she found out Miss Thang makes more than she does, even without the extra responsibility, so the Dancer approached the Phucktards and told them unless they gave her an hourly raise, she was returning both the phone and the keys, and she would just cover the shifts. they accused her of taking advantage of the situation, tried to give her $60 in cash and call it good, but she was having none of it. she wouldn't take the cash, and told them that's not what she wants. she returned the phone and keys. you were right, netta. you warned me, she said. she's already got another job -- she'll finish out the schedule but then she's done. i believe Buddy is not too far behind her. they've been riding his ass something fierce. and my maintenance guy -- they've pulled him out for another property, and he's not real happy about that, either. down, down, down. **** me? i'm just floating around. i'm still exhausted, no matter how much sleep i get. i can't seem to get a focal point, and i'm trying not to be hard on myself. **** and i just want to leave a small note here for future reference regarding Obama's speech. it was a good speech. i wonder if he wrote it or if someone else did. i plead guilty to Political Cynicism. it looks good on paper, but in all reality... i think i might feel differently about the political climate here if my vote actually counted for something, but the way it's set up with the Electoral College, it doesn't. i don't understand why people become so passionate about something in which their voice MATTERS NOT A WHIT. it's been proven the Electoral College doesn't always reflect the popular vote, and i ask you, what f*cking difference does it make what i think? or what you think? or what ANYONE thinks? all this money spent on campaigning, and for what? to buy the Electoral College's votes...and when i think of how much money is being spent and the waste, the good that kind of money could do in so many places, it makes me sick. America really has her priorities fucked up. the last presidential election i voted in was when Mondale was soundly beaten. after that, i figured, what's the point? **** Obama may be the black's voice, and he may be the white's voice. but he's still gender neutral. more later. for now, i gotsta run. discuss. :) Check out TSB for the most legal fun you can have with your clothes on.
