Blue: i love the color blue. it's in a lot of what i write. i'm the only one in my immediate family who has blue eyes, and it's the color of the eyes of two of my childen, my first love, and the love of my life. i wear a lot of blue. i see a lot of blue.
Blackberries: big, fat, juicy blackberries (not the tech toy.) eaten out of a steel pail or a straw hat on a sultry afternoon when the bees are buzzing their somnolent song of the day. the sun is not bright, but hot and hazy and the berries taste of sweet summer.
Baking: i love to bake. there's a feeling about making something so basic in a way that's been done for centuries that's very fulfilling. sometimes i think of the millions of women's hands that have kneaded dough and made bread for their families. i know, it's weird.
Bitching: (verb) oh yes, i love a good bitch fest, no matter what form it takes. it could be something as simple as an email i never send, a blog entry i do/do not post, or with a friend or a group of friends. it's cleansing to get a rant/rave off my chest, and it's usually when i feel like i'm the funniest.
Bitches: (noun) and i love a Wicked Good Bitch (not to be confused with an Evil Bitch.) by "bitch" i don't mean a snotty little princess wannabe, but an actual Female Who Means What She Says and knows how to Back It Up. i mean "bitch" in the best possible way.
Backstreet Boys: i have finally gotten to a place in my life where i can admit it. i love BSB, and i'm not ashamed. their harmonies are incredible, and they blasted out an amazing number of hits in their (too short) glory days as the Hawtest Boy Band on the Planet. so shoot me.
Books: my best friends since i was a tiny, tiny girl. i mean teeny tiny. i learned to read when i was three, due to a stint in the hospital for croup. i almost died. srsly. i spent my third birthday in the hospital, and received 24 Little Golden Books by the time i was discharged. i have been hooked from that moment on.
Marion Zimmer-Bradley: i absolutely ADORE her Darkover series. love it. if Pern is full and i can't live there, then i want to live on Darkover. i believe, deep in my heart of hearts, that in a parallel universe i *do* live on Darkover. the fact the "heroes" of the series are redheads has nothing to do with it. heh.
B********: this was my last name when i was married. it's on the list because it's the last name of my children, whom i love above all else on this earth.
Ballz: i haz dem.
