Muffin's checkup...

...was this morning, and there's a couple little bumps. high blood pressure and anemia, to be specific. but, we have that under control so we're good.

unfortunately, the HTN is hereditary. EVERYONE in the gene pool, on both sides of the family, has high blood pressure. as a matter of fact, my son, in his senior year of high school, was found to have high blood pressure at his football physical. very unusual -- he was a tip-top athlete. we went through all the tests -- stress test, 3D echography, blood work, IVP (to check the kidneys and make sure the adrenal gland was not involved -- scary, scary time, i don't care how old your kids get, the Panic Button knows no age) daily checks... he had to monitor it for several years, but has been doing fine. so, i'm not surprised my Little Mamacita has to deal with it, especially with Muffin on board.

i was diagnosed with HTN in my thirties. it had been "high-normal" for years, and i finally went over the edge and have been medicated since.

nervous? worried? who, me? shutyore mouf.

the little Shittard has been exemplary in his potty habits.

I DID IT! i trained a puppy! a puppy with wormy poop!

i did!

i am just so proud of myself. i never thought we'd get here, really, and i'd like to thank the little people that helped me on my Journey Of Poop Training, namely, St. Laurie (who hung in with me through the Panic of the Worms, oh thank you girl, you saved my sanity if not the puppy's life) and St. Lisa (who was stalwart and unflagging in her support.)

you gurrrrlz rawk. thank you.

****

so, yeah. life right now is interesting, exciting (a new Project in the works that is busting my mind,)worrisome in some spots (not mentioning any names, MUFFIN,) but everything's copacetic.

onward ho*.

(*not that i'm a ho, understand, it's just a figure of speech. although, if i was a ho, what difference would that make?)

just a random though from the strange planet. heh.
