2008-04-29 8:32 PM tahini-less for the record, there is no living witness to me ever putting a bean or legume to my mouth.
i hate beans. the only beans i like are green beans. but navy beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, chickpeas or any other kind of bean of that nature is one of my only dietary ickies. i knew the knight was the man for me when he brought me chili for lunch and made the person from whom he bought it pick out every. single. bean. i mean, who does that? :) so, hummus is truly an Experiment for me. i've heard good things about it, it's supposed to be healthy, and it looks simple to make. i started with maggie's most excellent recipe, but alas, no tahini. now that i know what it is (thanks, Jam!) i'll look near where i work -- there's a couple of stores i'm pretty sure must carry it. in spite of the lack of tahini, it turned out rather good. i think i overdid it on the onion, and i used cilantro because i like it better. but it's actually tasty, and i can't even tell it's a bean i'm snacking on. i'm hoping hummus doesn't have the effect on me that beans seem to have on those near and dear to me (not mentioning any pregnant names.) heh. **** the roasted garlic recipe is next. what i like about it is, it seems easy to adapt to many tastes. i think i'll have fun with this stuff. **** it looks like a legal pad factory was bombed in here. i have papers everywhere and i need to get another print cartridge. i can't tell if i'm any further ahead in my Quest or if i'm just drowning in notes. **** Def Leppard still kicks ass, y'all. it was a surprise to see them on Dancing With The Stars. **** several people have been extraordinarily kind and generous to my GC, MackDaddy and our Muffin. thank you all so much, you truly are one of the great blessings in my life. **** i guess i should round up the two brain cells and rub them together and see what i come up with. to be honest, i'm still really tired. i guess this is what they call "The Drop". onward. Check out TSB for the most legal fun you can have with your clothes on. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
