summer is in the building.

sleeping last night with no AC was...uncomfortable, to say the least. it's not a good idea to sleep naked with a puppy in the house, lest he have a Nighttime Emergency that requires Immediate Action. (realized this the hard way.)

we Gem arrived home, she took a screwdriver in hand, and after some diagnostic testing and upkeep that needed to be done anyway, she determined it was the switch, and fixed it just like that. (it had gotten banged around when Antonino moved my bed in.)so, it's blessedly cool and all is well.

i did get a lot accomplished, although i felt pretty youkie today. finished laundry, sorted through clothes, moved a bunch of boxes to the basement. changed the bedding, cooked dinner, and spent a frustrating couple of hours staring at my website and wishing like hell i knew how to tweak it.

i feel like i'm blind and groping in the dark. (i almost typed "blond" -- now wouldn't that have started a shitstorm?? heh.) there's a connection i'm missing by this much >< and i know i can get it, eventually. in the meantime it's just plain painful.

i'm going to bed early, and hopefully i'll have the two brain cells recharged enough to fake my way through the day. it's going to be tight, but it's been tighter.
