it was a very quiet night at the ranch, and although there was laundry galore (i give up. it ain't worth it) the night passed peacefully enough, for a change.

wrapped my foot in an Ace bandage and it hurts a little less intensely. i plan to stay off it as much as i can and ice it down a few times. took some Advil against my better judgment, but so far, so good.

Gem was asleep when i got home so i don't really know how Sparky behaved tonight. i did check the litterboks, and it looks like she's using it properly. i hate to put her through the trauma of catheterization for a urine sample (not to mention the hefty price tag) if she was just unhappy with the new plumbing. i mean, if she was really sick i'd do it in a heartbeat and not once bitch about it. (well, maybe just once. heh! not really.)

*sigh* i guess i'll just see how it's going in the morning.

lesson learned: for the love of all that's good and holy, DON'T FUCK WITH THE CAT'S LITTERBOKS. EVAH.

i might try to squeeze out a little bit of work tonight, but then again, i'm pretty tired. i've been running on fumes for three days or more, and i need a break.
