flood watch and nutshells
the river is supposed to crest saturday in our area. last i heard 18 levees have failed, but so far we're okay here. the Mississippi has risen to the steps of the Arch -- the parking lots, the road, the Budweiser stage area, all of it is underwater. i really want to get pictures, but the angle was bad from the bridge.
scary stuff.

the headache(s) is (are) better. i know these headaches, i've had them before. tension. (hah. ya think?) at the worst it feels like stretching an extra-small condom over a bowling ball and someone banging on it with a hammer. they wax and wane, and it sucks Mighty Monkey Ballz.

in a nutshell:
...the Shittard is recovering from his surgery but he is still really grumpy about the e-collar. he's dug sores in his ribs from trying to scratch the stitches. he looks like how i feel.
...first shift is much better for me sleep-wise, not-so-good when it comes to putting the Empire together, and not-so-good as far as workload. yesterday i was up to my ass in de-staining and dealing with laundry, and today i spent geeking and training people on the rewards program. setting up eight log-ins, four computers and two printers, answering the convoluted questions, and walking people through the e-learning, i was bopping around like a flea.
i think the brain usage wore me out more than the physical labor.
...and that's the skinny. stress has reached Maximum Density, and right now i'm residing in the Eye of the Storm. the only way to the Other Side is through, can you dig it.
