the dust is settling a bit, but there's still plenty swirling in the hot summer air. maybe it's the season.

well, there was the lawn mower fiasco. for shit'z sake, it's like the Devil Grass. Grass On Steroids. something's going on. maybe the Shittard's poop has something to do with it. wouldn't surprise me.

Miss S. has advanced an opportunity at a resort our managing company owns about 90 minutes from the GC. nothing long-term, but might be a nice break. it depends on what exactly develops over the next four or five days.
i've never been to a resort.

it was a quiet night at the ranch, and i was oh-so-grateful. i did see Mr. Crazy Woman's Husband; i even spoke to him. he wanted to know if we had a spare mouse. we did not. i was polite. he never said a word to me about the Incident.
i have come to the conclusion the best thing to do is to let it go. see, people like that never see people like me, and it doesn't matter. fussing over it achieves nothing. he's in his own hell, i'm sure, and i'm also sure i'm the least of his worries.

i'm watching "The Seventh Sign"...with Demi Moore, Michael Biehn and Jurgen Prochnow. i really like this movie. sad ending, though. good premise -- i like the concept of the Guff, and of course the reincarnation theme is one i find fascinating.
