i've always been fascinated by the Tarot. i truly believe the deck, in the hands of the gifted, can help you focus and maybe provide some insight when the outlook is murky. i know a couple of people who are actually very sensitive to the Tarot, the GC being one of them. she's really spooky, to be honest. i bought her a deck several years ago, and i don't often ask her to read for me because she's so damned accurate she scares the shitski out of me. heh.

anyway, this morning i had an email that invited me to one of those "Tarot for entertainment" sites, and i figured, what the hell. i pulled five cards, then instead of clicking for their interpretation, i looked up the meaning of the cards myself. this is what i got:

1. History: The Lovers

2. Recent past: The Three of Coins (Pentacles)

3. Present: The 9 of Swords

4. Near Future: Wheel of Fortune

5. Far Future: The Page of Wands

what does this all mean?

good question.

i think i get the picture. it's not too bad, which is a relief. although, the 9 of Swords made me laugh. no, it's not a "good" card, but in every single one of my readings evah, i have always, always had a sword card in there somewhere.

and what's with the friggin' Major Arcana? there are 78 cards in a Tarot deck, 21 of which are the Major Arcana, and i always, always have a least one in my readings, even if all i do is pull three cards. here, i have two. what's up with that??

yes, i do have better things to do.

i believe i shall go do them.
