The Project That Would Not Die

Well, I have been pretty danged busy slinging words like hash in a small, greasy diner. I've covered topics from weddings and hogs (yes, there is a connection, don't make me spell it out) to hotels in Cancun, contemporary furniture, shoes, fitness equipment, online marketing and statistics. It's been wild.

Additionally, the editing of the crochet book went well.

So, here I am with a stack of assignments for this week, and I'm contacted by the PIC of the Project That Would Not Die. Even though I stuck a stake in its heart, apparently I neglected to cut the head off and stuff the mouth with garlic. I'm back on that wagon train.

The good news is the fee has increased, so I like that part.

I gotz my hands full, so I do. I guess this might be approaching the scenario of "be careful what you wish for." I'm not complaining -- this is the first time in my freelance life I've been booked solid for more than a couple of hours in advance.

Before and after my assignments are complete, I'll often visit the location for which they're meant and look around. The main reason is for research, but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't want to compare my work with others. I am pleased by what I see.

I'm pretty damned good. Not excellent, but I'm a good deal. I like that part, too.

But, for right now, I'm going to take a breather and run with the Divine Mizz M and get me some baby love. After that, it's batten down the hatches and full speed ahead.

I might get some garlic while I'm out. Heh.
