a guy came in to our construction company to sign up to work for us. his "woman" came in with him. they look about 35-40ish. it normally takes about half hour. they've been in there for almost an hour and a half. he hasn't opened his mouth. she has filled out all his paperwork, asked and answered all relevant questions, and complained about i-don't-know-how-many-policies already.

do ya think she's actually gonna accompany him to the jobsite and do the work for him???

not only am i annoyed with mean people - and i might just be included in that group right now - i'm amazed at the lack of common sense that so pervades our society today.

earlier a mommy called wanting to know if her son has gotten a job with us. do you suppose she'll drive him over? wash his clothes? balance his checkbook? pack his lunch? don't make me say it.......wipe his a**???????

c'mon people - if we're of legal age to work, shouldn't we be mature enough to handle these things alone???

i dunno. maybe it's just my warped sense of RESPONSIBILITY.....
