I’ve been tinkering around with the groups feature of journalscape, and now I think I’m ready to give it a whirl, with some recent photos of C. The groups feature allows me to password-protect certain content, to keep it from being visible to the entire internet, yet allowing it to be visible to, well, a group. Give it a try.

If you’d like to view this content, sign in where it says “group name” at the bottom of the reverendmother home page.

C’s first name (lower case), followed by my birthday (formatted mmdd)

For example, if her name was Princess, and my birthday was Groundhog Day, the password would be

princess0202

Once you log in as a member of that group, titles of group entries will be visible from the home page with an asterisk next to them, and you should be able to click on them. Please let me know if it works.

I do ask that if you are using a public machine—a computer in a library or computer lab or something—that you NOT select the “remember me” box when you login.

Many of you who visit and comment here regularly may not know the password. I don’t have a problem telling you what it is. All you have to do is e-mail me. I’m just paranoid about having private content available to every Joe Pervert out there. Not that I even know what they could or would do with it, but I do know that people are infinitely creative when it comes to mischief. And for now this is still a quasi-anonymous space.

Thanks for helping me test this new feature! I'm a little spooked taking this step, but I also know that with the oodles of family that read this, it sure would be nice and convenient to post more privte content.
