happy birthday revgal friday five

The RevGalBlogPals webring is one year old today! Yippee!

[blowing on noisemaker]

Click here for a little history.

1) What is your first memory of the RevGalBlogPals?
I was blessed to be there in the beginning. The link above will take you to the very first discussion at St. Casserole's place. She suggested a T-shirt, and I started tinkering around CafePress, and soon we had a shirt, and a name, and a ring. The books and the meetups would come later.

2) Have you met any of the other ring members in real life?
Let's see... NotShyChiRev is a long-time real-life friend. I met him before either of us were Revs, or even thinking about being Revs.

Chaplain Mom is my soul sister and dearest friend. 11 years and counting!

I also know Teri, Miranda and Jan from real-life stuff.

As for people I didn't know before blogging, let's see, I've met Songbird many times--I think she was my first commenter that I wasn't related to ;-) I've also met PPB, Mibi, St. Cass, Cheesehead, Chaplain Lydia, Reverend mommy, Stacey, and am I forgetting someone...?

3) Of those you haven't met, name a few you would love to know in person.
This is a tough question because there are so many. One of these days I'm going to make a trek across Texas and in the process meet Mindy and SpookyRach (honorary RevGal). I'd really like to meet Quotidian Grace and it's feasible since I get to her city from time to time. Will Smama because she's high-larious. [Edited to add purechristianithink--I couldn't forget her! I may have to do this throughout the day as more come to me] Actually I want to meet any of the Matriarchs I haven't met.

4) What has Ring Membership added to your life?
It's become a great hobby and outlet. I was so touched and overwhelmed by the blessingway blog when I was pregnant with miss m (see link on the left). I have appreciated all the affirmation and the great listening. Blogging in general has reignited an interest in writing, and the RevGals have been a big part of that.

5) Describe a hope for the future of the WebRing.
I would like to have a big conference/retreat for members of our ring. I would also like to see us publish an anthology of our best writings.
