I read so many people's journals enthusing (is there such a word?) about "Lost" being last year's greatest program, I bought the first season's DVD set. Spent a frustrating 15 minutes trying to figure out how to open it.

My reaction after watching the 2-part Pilot was: ho-hum, how predictable can you get. Survivor redux.

Then last night the first two episodes, and I am hooked. I would have stayed up half the night for more of them, but I wasn't willing to pay the price (sleepy, headache-y, bad-taste-in-the-mouth feeling).

But you know I'll be laying rubber to get home early enough tonight for a couple more episodes! Enough O.Henry-type twists and turns to keep any mystery aficionada happy.
