This 4th of July seems strange, coming in the middle of the week. So many of the other holidays are moveable feasts, making a 3-day weekend, that a series of three days seems the norm now and a singleton strange.

I spent the day reading.

Now, lest you think me entirely slothful, I'll add in to the count of the day's activities these items: stripped beds, washed bed linens, aired and put out in the sunlight the blankets and comforters, washed dishes, remade beds with fresh sweet-smelling clean linens, cooked meals, administered meds, and provided a lap for a sleepy cat.

Just thinking about her ... is ... making ... me ... Y-A-W-N. ZZzzzzznnnn.....
