I read a news report that North Korea is threatening to aim a long-range ballistic missile 'in the direction of' Hawaii on July 4th.

If it hits anywhere on land...what should our response be? A missile strike on U.S. territory would be an act of war. Especially with nuclear warheads.

The last missile Pyongyang aimed at Hawaii landed in the ocean, but that was back in 2006, 40+ seconds after launch. There's no guarantee that the missile will miss again.

Radar and missile interceptors have been deployed.
