A Definitely Different Tuesday

Oh, Ho! I'm getting the "eye" from my co-workers. Seems while I was off yesterday everything was so quiet--no phones, no complaints, no supercharged employees--that it was positively somnolent in these here parts.

And today, I return, and all hell breaks loose. Naturally it must be cause and effect and I wear my mantle of trouble-maker proudly. Actually, more of problem-solver--it was so quiet yesterday because several folks were waiting for me to return to answer or clear up their problems/questions, make the world start rotating again.

As if I were indispensable. Hah.

To top it all off, the weather! It's raining! In the middle of May. Batty can tell you how unusual that is in this neck of the woods (or in this valley of the desert). Not enough rain to wash your car clean, but enough to turn the dust into muddy streaks and make driving mighty dangerous.

One think about my life, it's seldom boring. Just on occasion "interesting" in that not-so-salubrious way (stress is a killer). A little boredom, plz?

Back to figuring out how to do more with less. Wish my boss were more careful about communicating to me decisions/requirements handed down from upper management. I don't like those kinds of surprises when I have to do a project over because no one told me the rules have changed.
