Spent most of the morning on the road (had to search around to find my ID badge which we're required to wear when out of the office). So many items go through my hands and across my desk (via fingers on keyboard, actually) that occasionally I just have to get out and see the situation for myself.

So there I was, watching the dawn skies and waiting for one of my clients to show up. Sipped my Starbuck's coffee and let the minutes roll by. Watched the little birds in the lantana bushes. It was a nice way to start the day. I enjoy getting out of the office now and then.

The outing afforded me the pleasure of speaking briefly with one of our topnotch employees (the ones you never get to converse with because they are out there, taking care of business, not in the office, explaining the latest snafu). She really made my day.
