New Month, New Color

The blue-on-blue is my favorite color scheme for winter. This evening is also the start of Hanukkah, so the color works for that, as well. When I was a very small child, I remember confusing the Hanukkah candles for my birthday candles. Long time ago.

Yesterday was a big day; for nearly a thousand employees, it was their last day.

Today the computer system is down, the one that accesses all of our company processes. Wonder if that is just coincidence or if some disgruntled ex-employee threw a sabot into the machinery. A monkey wrench into the works. Pulled the plug.

I still have internet access because I brought my little mini laptop with me to work. It's slow, and I have to use the *&%^$ touchpad instead of a mouse, but, anyway, I'm still online until the company network/server/whatever comes back to life.

My father always said, "If it doesn't work, hit it." Somebody needs to give that server downtown a smack upside the head.

Clear and sunny and chilly today. Fleece jacket weather. Two-cat night last night (just above freezing). I miss my dog.
