A couple of days ago my mouse died. I changed the battery; no resurrection. I put the USB thingie in another port; flatline.

So I've been using the touchpad. The devil's invention, guaranteed to frustrate the bejeezus out of any user. Either I tap it too softly, or just right but the computer is slow to respond, so I tap again and now I've done a Bad Thing.

Selecting text and scrolling down? One word: aaaaargh!

I'm not sure if the problem is the mouse or a computer setting that somehow got messed up, so I'm going to borrow a spare mouse from a friend and see if it works.

Stupid *&^%$ touchpad!
