"Last Call at the Oasis"

A group of friends showed up at my door about 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon and, come-as-you-are, invited me to go with them to see "Last Call at the Oasis" in Westwood.

The documentary was very professionally done, full of terrific photography and intense with information and ideas. Definitely one to see twice, the better to absorb and understand what the issues are.

One thing I liked was that it presented both sides of situations. Another was that it was not preachy. The facts are presented, the consequences of action (or inaction) drawn. The viewer is left to decide for him/herself what to do (or not do) about the future.

Highly recommended.
