Nomophobia

Nomophobia: the fear of being without your mobile phone.

You get anxious when you leave your phone at home, to the point where you turn around and go home to retrieve it.

You check for messages constantly, from the moment you wake up, throughout the day, and intermittently during sleep time.

You sleep with it on the night stand next to the bed.

Two bars and you plug it in to recharge, lest it die in mid-conversation.

You never turn it off.

You answer the phone, no matter where you are, no matter what you're doing or how important the task. Bathroom? Yes.

Same with texting.

It's a major crisis when you're on the road and you realize you left the phone charger at home. You ask around to see if someone else has a compatible one you can use--they all understand; they would feel the same way.

You have nomophobia.
