This moring as I started my walk, it was overcast (high clouds, nothing to get excited about) and 59 degrees. Amost 50 degrees cooler than the high of two days ago at 108. This weather is crazy. It's summer for most of a week, then we're tantalized by hints of autumn. Then back to summer again. Wish it would just settle into fall, and be done with it.

Have no comment about last night's debate except to say it was a disappointment.

On the agenda for today: finish the book edit and get it in the mail back to the author. Nice not to have to contend with a noisy air conditioner.

Should take most of the day, as I want to do a skim review after notations are finished. I figure if a writer can put all that work into a book, the least I can do is be careful what I say about it.

The upside is that this is quite a good book, if you like fantasy, and I'll let you know when it's published. He already has a publisher, but a small publisher doesn't have much of an editing staff, which is why he asked for my assistance.

This may turn out to be my second career.
