I seriously dislike taking a shower in the morning, especially in the cold. One of the true pleasures of being retired is being able to take a daily shower later in the day, when it's nice and warm (or warmer, anyway).

This morning, however, I have a doctor's appointment and so it's early shower time again. The reminder of how much I abhor early morning showers, I suppose. All fresh and clean--and freezing cold. Brrrrrh!

Roommate B is feeling snarky. A lot of things have not gone her way (nothing like having your car burn up in the middle of the night) and there's an important church function coming up tomorrow night (about which she is sure she knows better than anybody else how it's spozed to be).

After a hectic couple of days for me, I'm just as happy to lie low and chill out for a bit (that enjoyable kind of chill). I may even head for the library, stay out of her way.

No coffee for me today until after the doctor's appointment. Quelle dommage!
