My friends and I, including my roommate, are going to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) today to see the Caravaggio exhibit and also the retrospective honoring Stanley Kubrick's films.

I was hesitant about doing this as a group event (B can be terribly bossy and self-righteous at times), but I knew that I would keep postponing the trip if I chose to go alone--probably indefinitely, until it was too late and the exhibit had moved on.

Here's hoping that the excursion is fun and interesting and not too exhausting for this Little Old Lady (and I'm not even from Pasadena). Nor am I wearing tennis shoes. Caravaggio is one of my favorite painters and I'm really looking forward to the outing.
