The week has zoomed by, and here it is Friday morning. At the first sound of the clanking trash trucks out on the main drag, I leaped out of bed, threw on a sweatshirt, stumbled rapidly downstairs and dragged the black (garbage) can out to the curb. Last night I completely forgot about Friday being trash day and that today was Friday.

Last night I went to a very good production of "The Vagina Monologues," a play, a movement to combat violence against women Not my usual cup of tea, and I would never have gone in a million years, but my friends all urged me to join them, so I went.

"Enjoyed" is not exactly the word I'd use. Many of the monologues were moving and some were hysterically funny, but a whole evening focused on the vagina...by the end, I was glad I had gone, but I was done and ready to go home. My friends wanted to go get a glass of wine somewhere and talk, but after 90 minutes of it, I needed some time to process and relax.

The whole week has been nonstop stuff, with classes and meetings and appointments and who knows whatall. Today I really *must* catch up on things--editing the newsletter, paying bills, doing my laundry. Nothing earthshaking, but the quotidian stuff that keeps life going.

I'll feel less pressured after I pay bills. I'd like to find some time to relax and be still, meditate. Need to be intentional about setting aside some time to do it.
