Two Crows

Yesterday I bought some mixed nuts from Sprouts Market which turned out to be rancid (so much for fresh organic stuff). They have loose serve yourself nuts and dried fruits and granola in barrels. You use a scoop, fill a plastic bag with as much as you want, record the bin number and you're good to go.

Since the nuts were inedible (for humans), I decided to take a handful in my pocket when I went for my walk this morning.

The pair of crows (two for joy) greeted me as usual, and flew down from their branch to see what I tossed on the ground. Keeping a beady cautious eye on me, they feasted on pecans, walnuts, and almonds. The offering was accepted.

I'll take another handful for them tomorrow. I think they have a nest nearby, so even if I don't see them, they will find the nuts strewn nearby.

Just don't follow me home, OK? Waking up to the clamor of crows is not my preferred alarm clock.
