Food stupor and BBQs

Food stupor. Taco Time, mainlined. Ouch.

I need sleep, because I am going to be a social butterfly this weekend. First off, I have the Tomlinson/Cowan BBQ in the lovely Proctor District this afternoon. My friend Felecia had a huge falling out with her boyfriend, Scott, and moved out. She bought a house in Tacoma's tony Proctor area, saying that she needed to be there for her girls and she didn't mind the ferry commute back to Vashon. Well, it turns out that she had a surprise wedding a few weekends ago, to the very same Scott, and they are happily going about the business of driving each other crazy for the rest of their lives.

For a minute I was miffed, because she got a lot of sympathy for her breakup. I still don't know what makes a person weave a story like that just to build up to a surprise wedding, but I'm letting it go. Mainly because she throws a mean f'ing BBQ and I'm not missing it.

Tomorrow, I go to the parents' old house in Edmonds (aka Deadmonds, if you're a teenager) to help clean it out. So fun. Then it's off to Tukwila to BBQ with Bond and his boys (three of them, oy vey). No doubt more hilarity will ensure there. Sans physical afflictions, if I've been a good and lucky girl. All evidence points to me being very lucky in the next little while.

Nothing eloquent. Gonna go nap through the PNW heat wave. 90's is too hot for this temperate-oriented girl.
