Two Days, Two Rides

SATURDAY: The gals got up to mischief again, this time in the Olympic Mountains of Washington State. We rode from Edmonds to Kingston on a ferry (because I sure don't get enough of those), wound through the valleys south of Chimacum, and then headed up, up, and more up. Seventeen miles of up with many blind, hairpin curves, and there it was, the world spread out before us.

Someone very tired of having her picture taken:

Here are shots of the gals, just kicking back in the sun. It was about 80° F!

SUNDAY: Rally for the Troops, 2007. Hot, muggy, and a veritable anthropological orgy for the eyes.

Lotsa, lotsa bikes:

I joined Glen and his friend Heidi for this ride:

And, not to be forgotten, the Glen and Elsa shot:

Then I went to Eagle Leather and spent $225. It felt really, really good. My boot zipper had blown out just before the ride, so I had to get boots. Had to. And then, there were the do-rags leaping out at me, and a new rack bag...and two stickers: "The only time I say no is when someone asks me if I've had enough" and "Sarcasm is just one more service we offer".

Aaaaaah.
