Mountain Passes: Six - White, Sherman, Wauconda (does Great Wauconda watch o'er? I ask my Camp Fire Friends), Loup Loup, Washington and Rainy.

Temperature Range (F): low 50's in the mountain passes to about 100 around Hanford

Deer sightings: 6, one in the middle of the road in the Upper Skagit Valley

Near misses from other drivers: one in Yakima (by about 5 feet, on the highway, whew!)

Unintended course changes: one, through Richland

Contentment Factor: Priceless
