Didn't finish my F&SF Babe Bomb story. Hubris, sheer hubris. I've been working on the book and I waited way too long to take a break from it because I thought I had a story that only needed a little clean-up. But when I read the again, I realized it sucked. I scrambled for another one and started something I think I'll like but I just didn't have time....

So I switched back to the book because I want to get that done and it really won't take much longer. Then I'll finish the story and the first place I'll send it is F&SF.

So there's disappointment #1: me. Disappointment #2 is that Sifu is making pretty serious retirement noises. This is very disappointing. But we'll just have to see what happens.

All in all, a lackluster few days.
