Mood:
Sick

Morning, notice there is no “good” in the greeting. The reason for this is I’m sick. I never get sick, some days I feel bad but not out and out sick. It started Sunday night. I was out in the garage working on stained glass for a couple hours, when I came back in the house I sent my niece some family tree stuff for a school assignment. When I went to bed, I just could not get warm. I slept with a heating pad near my feet. I shivered and had chills most of the night. I thought I had just gotten to cold while I was in the garage. When I got up the next morning, I felt OK until about 10am then it hit me, fever, headache and nausea. No one I work with had any pain reliever/fever reducer. Imagine 4 EMS people in one station and no one had any medication. Virtually unheard of! I went to the store across from the station and bought Tylenol, sprite and chicken soup. All my favorite comfort foods. I would have rather had Advil, but they didn’t have any. I couldn’t get my fever below 101 even with the medication. The nausea did subside after I ate something. Basically I had a fever and a fever induced headache, nothing more, until this morning. I woke up with a stuffy nose and icky cough and of course the fever. My partner claims she will hurt me if she gets sick this weekend. She has plans. Maybe I didn’t breathe enough to transmit germs? Doubtful.
I have to finish up Christmas shopping. I have lists for everyone, I just need to get out there and do it. I can do most of it online, if I don’t wait to long. I’ll make myself do it all before Sunday. At least the tree and house decorations are up. We didn’t do outside lights this year. No one has had the time and the weather hasn’t been nice enough to do anything outside.
My eldest son is getting old! He will be 27 on the 12th. I often wonder how he can get old and yet his mother remains young? One of the mysteries of the universe I suppose.
Jodi is almost ready to start college. We have to get her classes registered before the 17th. That is on tomorrows to do list.
John is on his way to the hospital for a Iodine uptake test. He left before I got off work this morning. He has to spend the day there and be back in the morning for treatment. The hospital is about a 2 hour drive away.
I have things to do this morning, first thing is get in the shower and go to the office for a while. Then maybe if I feel better, run down to the beach and get some shopping done.
Bye for now
