me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Official reprimand

Warren has complained that I'm holding out on readers of this blog by not informing you (or as my sister in Georgia would say, "all y'all") (or as my cousins in the Bronx would say, "youse") that I also have another blog. It's on Journalscape, too, called "Progress," and it details the process of bringing my new novel, ABSENT FRIENDS, from manuscript to bookstore shelf. I started it because readers are always asking questions about the process and I don't see why they shouldn't have answers. "Progress" is less personal than this one. It's about publishing, but it wanders occasionally into writing, agents, and other related subjects. All youse-all are welcome, and as usual, feel free to post comments or ask questions. You can click on it on the bar at the top.

And since I mentioned our host here, Journalscape, let's have a round of applause for Kenny and Jenn, true philanthropists who give us this way to connect. Yay Kenny and Jenn!
