sjrozan I'm a writer, at work on my 11th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website, linked here. I also had a blog going from spring through late fall 2004 about the publishing process for my 9th book, ABSENT FRIENDS. That blog's called "Progress" and you can find the link here. I won't make any more entries but I'm leaving it up in case anyone's interested; the process is more or less the same from book to book. |

2004-02-23 10:36 AM Afflicted Was supposed to fly to California Weds. for Left Coast Crime, a fan and writer convention. Woke up about 1 am Tues. night feeling not so hot. In a matter of minutes, was feeling baaaad. Lo and behold, felled by food poisoning. You know that feeling when you're afraid you're not going to die? About 4, was thinking not only was I not going to make it to California, I was unlikely to make it to a hospital, would probably expire in the street. But by 7, was a little better. By 8:30, grabbed my bag, took a cab to the airport, made my plane -- an aisle seat, aren't we all lucky? -- and did, in fact, get to SF and thence Monterey, six pounds lighter, but beginning to think continuing to live might perhaps be okay.
Do not post your worst food poisoning experiences here. I don't feel that much better yet. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
