sjrozan I'm a writer, at work on my 11th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website, linked here. I also had a blog going from spring through late fall 2004 about the publishing process for my 9th book, ABSENT FRIENDS. That blog's called "Progress" and you can find the link here. I won't make any more entries but I'm leaving it up in case anyone's interested; the process is more or less the same from book to book. |

2006-02-14 4:50 PM Valentine's day heart attack Well, Cheney's shootin' buddy is back in intensive care because he had a "mild, asymptomatic" heart attack. Because a pellet or two from the Vice President's shotgun migrated into his heart. This is a 78-year-old man with a shotgun pellet IN HIS HEART. Will Cheney see any legal trouble from this? Beyond the fine for not having the right license? Who am I kidding? This wasn't a bunch of homeboys whooping it up in the GHET-to, after all; I mean, that scary urban stuff. It was a group of mature public figures, taking a break from the hard work of governing and practicing law. They deserve a little R&R. Their responsibilities are heavy, ladies and gents, and they have hard decisions to make every day. Like, over there -- is that a full-grown man in an orange vest, or a brown bird slightly smaller than a chicken?
