sjrozan I'm a writer, at work on my 11th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website, linked here. I also had a blog going from spring through late fall 2004 about the publishing process for my 9th book, ABSENT FRIENDS. That blog's called "Progress" and you can find the link here. I won't make any more entries but I'm leaving it up in case anyone's interested; the process is more or less the same from book to book. |

2007-01-09 12:44 PM Geek help Okay, I'm a jock-equipment geek, but not a tech geek. Electrizzical stuff is pretty much beyond me. Can someone help with this problem that's driving me NUTS? My radio buzzes with static that's worst when the weather's heavy --that is, when the clouds are low -- and changes depending on where I am in relation to it. And of course, where it likes me to be is nowhere near where I want to be when I need it most, which is when I'm writing. It has an antenna, a wire that comes out of the back of the thing and that I scotch-taped to my aluminum window frame. Which seems to help some, but not solve the problem. Interestingly, it didn't have this problem when I got it; it's taken almost a year to develop it. What can I do?
