sjrozan I'm a writer, at work on my 11th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website, linked here. I also had a blog going from spring through late fall 2004 about the publishing process for my 9th book, ABSENT FRIENDS. That blog's called "Progress" and you can find the link here. I won't make any more entries but I'm leaving it up in case anyone's interested; the process is more or less the same from book to book. |

2007-01-19 10:53 AM Edgar Nomination! Not having a book out in 2006 -- IN THIS RAIN is counted as a 2007 book for awards purposes -- I wasn't paying any attention to the Edgars. But look!
MWA Announces 2007 Edgar Allan Poe Award Nominees BEST SHORT STORY "The Home Front" – Death Do Us Part by Charles Ardai (Hachette/Little, Brown and Company) "Rain" – Manhattan Noir by Thomas H. Cook (Akashic Books) "Cranked" – Damn Near Dead by Bill Crider (Busted Flush Press) "White Trash Noir" – Murder at the Foul Line by Michael Malone (Hachette/Mysterious Press) "Building" – Manhattan Noir by S.J. Rozan (Akashic Books) I'd give you the link to the whole list but it doesn't seem to be up on the MWA website yet. Give them a few hours. But how's that for something to make my day?
