sjrozan I'm a writer, at work on my 11th book. This blog is a record of random and less-random thoughts. If you want to know more about me, check my website, linked here. I also had a blog going from spring through late fall 2004 about the publishing process for my 9th book, ABSENT FRIENDS. That blog's called "Progress" and you can find the link here. I won't make any more entries but I'm leaving it up in case anyone's interested; the process is more or less the same from book to book. |

2008-03-26 9:46 AM Hey, even the Pentagon's not perfect Apparently the guys who're so successfully running the war in Iraq have made a mistake. Which they only discovered a year and a half later, after the Taiwanese 'fessed up. EXCUSE ME? Any of you guys ever return the wrong book to the library? How long did it take you to catch on? Or ever order a blue shirt from Macy's and get a red one? Take you eighteen months to call and complain? Taiwan asks for helicopter batteries, gets nuke fuses, doesn't mention it (what's making their copters fly in the meantime?) and suddenly it comes to light now? If they really think we're going to believe this, they must think we're as dumb as they're trying to persuade us THEY are. Which itself is pretty stupid, so maybe they are that dumb. Wonder what really happened?
