Okay, seeing as how B.G. spilled the beans in a comment on the Assisi post, I'll admit it, IN THIS RAIN has been nominated for the Nero Award. The Nero's given by the Wofle Pack, a group dedicated to the works and ways of Nero Wolfe and his crowd. Why didn't I tell you this when I found out the day before yesterday? Because I was told in a personal email, that went on to say there'd be an official press release. Now, I haven't gotten that, I haven't heard from my publisher which means they haven't gotten that, so what I wanna know is, B.G., how do you know? You're a serious insider, I guess! Anyway, she says modestly, I won this award once before, in 2003. The great thing about it, besides the honor, is that it's given at a banquet at which the food, being for Nero Wolfe folks, is totally terrific.
