Seventeenth Saturday
Baby mourning dove,
Fresh from nest, shakes fluffy wings,
Walks away confused.
Soft wind, slow current.
Single boat slips slowly by,
Sends curved, rolling waves.
Sunlight hits my bench.
First fly of spring, small, sluggish,
Lands on my teacup.
