Insistent drizzle
Stipples river, pocks puddles,
Levels high-piled snow.
In traffic's silence:
Gull's cry, jogger's steady steps,
Raindrops tapping sleeve.
Curly brown dog waits,
Tilts head, wags tail hopefully:
Owner's in deli.
